Kickstarter is about bringing a product to life that our backers want. We listened through-out the campaign, and took on feedback on our rules and wording on cards. We then modified how they were written, where needed, and let our backers decide which two additional roles were included in the game.
Several backers also requested for us to include a special die for Assembly. After some searching (we didn’t have time for a fully custom die), we sourced a shiny blue zinc alloy metal die which we then offered to backers at a subsidised rate – we wanted to include it as a stretch goal but it was too expensive so felt subsiding the cost was the next best thing.
Another addition was due to many backers saying that they really, really wanted the mini-cards and we looked into how we could make this a reality. In our pledge manager, we now have the option to buy replacement cards and a mini-card sized box to make the ultra portable game seen in all the previews. You can read why we moved to bridge-sized cards in this Kickstarter update.
Finally, we had a few backers offer to translate Assembly into German, Spanish and French. The translations are ongoing and we’ll release them for review once available – let us know if you are able to help 🙂
